E-Revo on Neu 1515 1Y - 07.14.2008, 09:37 AM

I mentioned in another post that I have been reading for awhile, but not posting. I am sorry if I am a little slow on the up take, but I am still trying to get an understanding of the Neu motors. I am planning on building an E-Revo and would like to run a Neu 1515 1Y on 4S lipo with the MM and UBEC. I have 2 questions, the first is will this be an efficient system, anything else I need to do? The second is, when wave 2 of the MMM comes out, can I upgrade to it with 6S Lipo on this motor, or would I need a different motor? Thanks for your input.

you can go to 5s on the 1y with no problems. 6s will really be pushing the 1y. If you want 6s go with the 2.5d and it will still run ok on 4s for now.

I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

I have a converted 3.3 nitro revo to BL a d the 1515/1y on 4s is efficient only because you will be running a Neu motor..IMO the 1515/1y is out of control on 6s (increased tire ballooning) try to keep the total motor rpms @ 35,000 to 40,000....1515/1y on 6s is pushing 50,000...if I want more speed I will gear up (The Neu can handle it)

I have a 1515/2.5D in a mugen MBX on 6C and all I can say it has unbelievable torque and acceleration . You will not be disapointed with the Neu 1515
