erevo or emaxx - 07.26.2008, 01:42 PM

I am trying on what to decide to buy.. It will be mostly for bashing and thrashing.. I like the emaxx with the new G4 Gorilla chassis but I the erevo also looks tempting as well.. I am curios if anyone will be releasing a cool chassis for the revo.. I am sure they will it's just a matter of time.. I like that i could buy a used emaxx with a brushless setup cheaper than I could buying and erevo but I can decide which one to buy and I am loosing sleep over this.. just because I still haven't gotten my Mamba Monster yet for my truggy... What do you guys think?

oh yea I might also have a 2.5 revo rolling chassis my brother blew up the motor... to many decisions

From what I have heard and seen , I personally would go w/the Revo. The base platform IMO is better.

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I have both, definitely revo :D. Well, I have emaxx and a converted 3.3. The 3.3 is just much more stable, quicker, more nimble. I like it aa-lot.

I own both as well. Get the revo, it's better all the way around.

erevo is good. The erevo uses the same front and rear bits as the revo 3.3, and thus the G3-R chassis is a cool chassis for it :P

The erevo uses the same tranny as the newwer e-max so you would have to buy the adaptor for it (or is there a G4-R?) and perhaps some driveshafts if the stockers arent the right length.

Sounds like getting the 2.5 just for the front and rear bulks wouldn't such a bad idea if your keen on getting an aftermarket chassis.
