Well I tried ie8 for a day or two and at least on Vista 64 it couldn't render pages well.
Just installed google chrome and I have to say nice job so far - Quicker to load pages and rendering looking good...
Worth a try...

I had forgotten about googles browser. I had heard about it ages ago was going to look into it but forgot. I don't think I want to use it though. Google would end up knowing everything about everyone if we all used their browser.

Yeah, as I was downloading it tonight, I could hear the black helicopters off in the distance....
It didnt import my favorites correctly, so I'm now going through and putting them in. I like the "incognito mode", as I'm sure Linc will........keep the wife from knowing what sites we're looking at!

I took a look at chrome. It is a nice simple browser but it is missing a few features that I really use a lot. No support for rss is a bit sad. Also in firefox if I want to search youtube for rc then I type "yt rc" in the address bar and off I go. Same for google but instead of yt I type g and I have a bunch of others setup as well.

It will take a pretty amazing browser to drag me away from firefox. I also am not a huge fan of google anyway.

opera would be my second choice. Most of the features of firefox are either copied from or copied by opera. If it was more widely known it would probably see a lot more users.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Safari.
Personally I am using FireFox 3.0.1 but I may switch back to 2.x. There are some major issues with form rendering in 3.0.1 which, as a web developer, is extremely annoying.

K for you guys who love firefox OR safari the new google chrome is both built in one. I am a firefox guy and run 3 but have been on the chrome lately. It is just as fast as firefox but looks much cleaner. It is still in beta so changes may be made to the initial publish version but i say it is worth the try for everyone.
I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.
