My question is what is everyone doing to help keep battery temps in check with the new E-REVO chassis? Staying out of the grass for the most part has done wonders at bringing my temps down more than 10* but would still like to do more. I have started by cutting the fins out of the ducts at the front of the compartments. Holding a fan in front of the servo I noticed that there wasn't much air getting in, after removing the fins I'm getting more air flow. Is there anything available that would allow me to do something like NASCAR does running ducts to their brakes? A way to hook up a fan with some ducts coming off going to the battery compartments? Has anyone mounted a small fan to the opening? Open to ideas and would love to see pics if anyone has done anything. After I run mine again I'll post temps, today it was 80-85* out and after a 20 minute run my packs where 112-115*.

A set of enerland cell based packs will bring the temps down...

You can try a small ducted fan setup in front of each duct. I do notice that my trakpower packs get warmer in the erevo than they do in the emaxx.

I am trying to think up a good way to incorporate an al heatink that the battery can sit up against for better heat transfer...

I know, I know....Enerland, Enerland, Enerland! There just so much more money! I've been looking and for 2 2s packs enerland packs close to 5000mah cost about $75 more than 2 6000mah MA packs. But Enerland or not they run warmer in the closed battery compartments and I'm just trying to keep the packs I have going until I can afford some ENERLAND 3s packs so I can bring my 1515 2.5d to life.

Some decent fans on the front ducts should help. Not sure if putting a piece of al on top of the pack to help pull the heat away and the fan air can blow over it would be any better than just the fan? Some airflow is better than nothing in those compartments, that is for sure.

I'm going to see how it does without the fins in the way first, that alone is def letting more air in. If that doesn't give me much better tems I found some 25mm fans at Tower that I will try mounting and run them off an external bec.

Sounds good, and the external bec is a great idea, takes a good bit of load off the esc...
