Alternative to G-maxx straps - 11.30.2008, 09:00 PM

Is there a widely accepted alternative to G-maxx straps? We are starting to see quite a few breaking - mine are holding up ok, but are starting to show their wear. My Brother in laws have broken twice when he has had his 4S pack strapped into his 3906 tray. I think he should get some that strap the opposite direction across the battery. Any brands that are favored?

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

I've been looking for an alternative for ages. Best I've found are the Vecro brand things, but they are quite expensive, compared to the gmaxx straps even. Everything else just isnt designed the same, so are almost impossible to mount on the chassis as such- I went with a pair of gmaxx straps on each side of the chassis, that way it spreads the load and stops them from ripping so easily...

Yes! I ended up with a 2" bike tube - Initial indications are it is working great!

I then use 5/8" Mcmaster velcro strip on the sides...
