Question motormount ? - 11.03.2008, 11:21 PM

what would be a better motormount? rcm's motormount or a mmount like that guy bobby gately makes for the rc8 conversions? the reason i ask is because the way that guy makes them it puts the motor in the center of the chasis and opens up more room on the chasis for our electronics. and is there any one here that could make those with rcm's qaulity

Picture?

Mike can make pretty much any mount you want. I've used his typical side mount (example pic), but he's also made me one that sits above the shaft (example pic). Both work fine, but the side mount is lighter and keeps the center of gravity lower.

You'd have to email him at rcmonstermike AT gmail.com

Be warned, he could take a while to answer as he is a very busy man. I would follow-up with a PM too.

Whatever you decide, I can almost guarantee the top mount will be more expensive to make. He may have the CNC files around for that vehicle, but there is more material and it consists of three pieces...
