my 380C7t/UF75 Drifter ;) - 01.18.2006, 02:31 AM

well - i just noticed from another thread that dabid hadn't seen a 380C motor before (or so it seemed) - so figured i'd put this here -lol-

Got a picture of it next to a novak too - bit of a messy shot - but u can kinda tell -lol- Runs very well - i currently have it geared 22/75 and it runs faster than the novak - dunno bout smaller differences, as i rarely run rubbers so i don't notice things like that -lol-

Motor is around 125f or so, and esc is about 115f - taken on a pretty hot and sticky day - and that's cooler than the novak ran on that gearing too -lol-

I don't usually run on rubbers - i tend to break my car when i do -lmao- Anyways... here's my drifter ;)

here's the shell i just painted up - not sure on the red decals tho -lol-

Oh - i'm running this on 6 cell GP3700 packs ;)

Looks good. I've been considering making a drifter

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Yummy, a Mr4tc-sd drifter. How does the drive train hold up with the setup you're using? Have you ever stripped a ring gear or spur gear with this yokomo?

The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

The drivetrain holds up pretty good, not a single problem yet with it :)
Although previously, i had the stock Drift Package chassis with only bearings and the Ti screw kit.....

I ran the uforce and a lehner XL5000 in this on the IB3800 packs in the pics..... the motor mount loosened up, causing a stripped spur gear - replaced the gear, and ran it again.... 3 minutes later, the same thing happened -lol-

Tried the same setup in the SSG, and no worries at all... but i did only run it for around 5 mins only...

This is an old thread!! Might do a tiny update...

I'm still drifting, and actually just won the local drift championship here with one round left to go! So i get a free HPI Pro D chassis, and also get sponsored!! mwaahahaaa

I have upgraded the chassis a while ago to the Yokomo LCG Driftmaster kit... Still have the UF75, and the 380C - but have just recently swapped it out for a MM and a second 380C7t - the motor wires on the original 380C had to be re-soldered =)

Anyways - a few older pics of the chassis - i'll get some newer ones a bit later on tonight or something with the shell i'm running - it's a Yokomo JZX100 Chaser with Limited Edition "Weld" decals (1 of 200 made) =)

I think it has a couple more hop ups since these pics - i forget what they are tho -lol-
