castle link with windows vista

castle link with windows vista - 11.09.2008, 02:46 PM

I cant get the castle link on to my computer cause its not compatable with windows vista so now i cant program my mm. What should i do?

I think you can get the MM to work with vista 32 but not 64...

Anything that uses the USB adapter such as the BEC/MMM works with Vista.

Just download the Castle link to desktop and then right click - run as admin to install.

Change your setting to administrator and it will work- there are a few threads around if you want to look them up (type 'castle link vista' into the search box).

I am running castlelink on both vista 32 and 64..Just run the installation program as administrator as they suggested (or noted on a thread somewhere here), for vista 32 this is all you need. but for 64 you need to right click the properties of your shortcut (to launch castlelink) and under "compatibility tab" run it as compatible with Windows XP SP2....it should recognize the ESC

I've been debating throwing my vista in the trash - but have you seen the prices they still have on XP?
