If you can afford a Neu motor, take a 1509, 2.5d/s, 2700Kv. I run this motor with a MM on 3s in my slash and it's incredibly fast, and stay cool after 30 minutes.

MM and VXL motor would be my top choice of those listed

I wouldn't even think of running a MM5700 combo on 3S in a slash. You're just asking for heat problems with that high of a in that vehicle.

yeah the 5700 is really only good for touring cars or really light 1/10 off-road like a bandit or something. I say the MM and VXL form what you listed but you could use the NEU or Medusa motors as well.

I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

I like my medusa 2k 60mm with the vxl ESC, IMO like less clogging and less interferance(TRX radio) than with the MM when geared 20/36.

Cons... you'll need some wire extensions, no 4s.

Just FYI, I'm currently running a Feigao 16s on 4s lipo in my slash. Right now it's geared 22/90 and does about 40mph with barely any heat after a full pack. I run on street/grass/mulch/dirt etc., lots of tire spinning!

I liked the VXL setup, I had one in a stampede and one in an SRT. Both were strong setups and decent in 2s for heat

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Andrew I have a VXL system I'm gettin rid of. Motor has a brand new rotor installed by Traxxas and hasn't been ran, the ESC has 2 runs on it when it was in my V-Twin.

The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

I ran a vxl motor for 3-4 months but have since replaced it with an MM and hv6.5 I had sitting around. Plenty of power and much lower temps with 4s lipos.
