New Neu 1400 series motors

It seems as if we have a new option when it comes to powering our buggys, lighter truggys or monsters: 1400 Series Neu motor

It features the smaller more common 36mm diameter making it possible to fit those smaller pinions which might have led to clearance issues when fitting a Neu 1515. It uses the 1515 rotor but given the smaller can diameter and a smooth can will not be as powerfull as a Neu 1515 ... or atleast will heat up faster then a Neu 1515. So it might be an interesting choice when a Neu 1515 is just to powerfull. Hmm ... will it fit powerwise between a Neu 1512 and a Neu 1515?

So what do you all think about this new motor option?

Would be interesting to know if the endbell is also closed like the frontbell seems to be.

That's great. More choices for us. It will go head-on against the Medusa 36mm line of motors.

looks pretty good. i imagine it is just like a 1515 only with a 36mm can. i guess time will tell when they release some stats. and if front endbell is sealed i am assuming the rear one is also. looks like Neu caught on.

They look very nice indeed- price isnt too bad and they share the same rotor as the 1500 series so power shouldnt be too different I would have thought. Still getting an 80mm medusa though....

Awesome! I've been looking for a decent EDF motor. I'm curious as to what the power handling will be on those motors.

The KV ratings are the same as the 1515 motor of the same wind. Looks to me like 1515 with the fat trimmed off. Same kv, same rotor, Id guess its probably the same power as well. But almost 20% lighter. I like it for a race vehicle. SHaving weight is the name of the game.

I like it. Always good to see more otptions. I want to see what a 1412 looks like. That could be the hot ticket for a lightweight race buggy.

These motors are going to be perfect to compare to medusa. I am going to put my money on the medusa over the Neu.
