wobbly tekno CVD's?? - 12.19.2008, 03:24 PM

The CVD's on my Tekno RC8 seem to be out of tolerance, i made sure there was no play on the diff pinion, its nice and snug, yet they seem to wobble horribly, i talked to a tekno rep and all he said was to make sure there was no play on the diff pinions. Has anyone else had this problem??

I first noticed it when i installed it on the car and ran it for the first time, it made alot of noise, so i just took it off, disassembled the CVD, and rolled the shaft portion on a slab of granite and as i suspected it was bent, about +/- 1-2mm off centerline in the middle of the shaft, it came that way in the V3 kit i recently purchased. I've ran it once in my RC8 and thats it.

E-mail or blogging about their products online are probably not the best choices for getting the problem solved.

I would just call to get the best attention.

Just my 2 cents.

Well they sent me out some replacements!! I was getting worried after a few unanswered voicemails and emails both, Daniel said they just converted to a new email system so my email from last month got missed. I've been a very loyal customer for a while now and this has been my very first problem with their products. However they took care of me. Come on USPS get me my driveshafts!!!! I need my fix!!!!!! lol, Thanks Daniel and thanks to Tekno for their great products
