Best Shocks for Buggies? - 11.18.2009, 01:17 PM

I'm currently ordering parts for a Losi 8ight 2.0 and just want some opinions actually between the Losi 8ight shocks and the XRay XB808 shocks. Anyone own both? Also, does anyone have any opinions between the BEC chassis and the TFT chassis for the 8ight 2.0? I did already order a DragonRacing chassis, I had to try it for $40, I can always get another chassis later if it doesn't suit me.

dragon racing = waste of money. it will bend at a first chance. BCE makes probably best chassis

Losi shocks are ok. never seen any problem with them

I've run 8ight shocks for a few years... just make sure to loc (red type) the screw that holds the disc to the shaft inside so it doesn't back out and they are great shocks.. no reason to swap out. I've even installed 8ight shocks on my Hyper mini for the rear shocks and plan on putting a full set on the hyper 10 sc when it arrives today or tomorrow :)

XB808 shocks are lovely - I preferred them over Losi shocks. However, I'd just stick with what's on the car (shock wise), as set-up info will be easier to get hold of and share with others.

This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

that is a definite plus going with Losi's shocks (setups). That's what the LHS said today too.
