tango and fun - 12.19.2005, 08:14 AM

Well I'm not sure about it, but ever since I've spoken in one of the threads about the kontronik motors, they've been selling like crazy at towerhobbies. Did people really liked them? I like them, but could it be possible that some of the guys I've spoken to went over towerhobbies and took every single Tango available?:P: I did not even say they( the Tangos) would fit in the maxx? Oh well....

I was just over at the RC Groups helicopter forum, and it looks like the Tango is actually a pretty popular helicopter motor. So, maybe they all went to the helicopter guys!

Actually, the twist series are very nice motors (like a lehner basic w/ heatsink or hacker c40) . I would not get the tango though, as twist's are made for RC Car's kind of. Now if only they sold higher kv ratings! But with lipo that's not a problem

But, in a maxx a tango would be necessary I suppose. The tango motors have an rpm limit of 25,000 though and are a tad wide diameter wise.

The fun 600 series motor would work perfectly though. It's about equivalent to an L series elsewhere

Actually it (FUN600) goes head to head with the 1940s and probably the 1950s. I already put the 600-17 in my list to use it in my future maxx.

Cool, I was just looking size wise, didn't take power into account. Hopefully you get a nice towerhobbies discount.

Its already sold for 150 and that is quite interesting for such a motor.
