Latest changes to my truck (Candymans Maxx Bling) - 12.17.2005, 12:17 PM

I dont seem to have a thread in here so here we go!

Just a few changes, managed to find a company selling silver 23mm hubs:

They are from Hot Racing and if anything seem higher quality than the Pro-line versions. They have a thicker nut and also a rubber o ring inside it to act like a nylock nut. Looks much cleaner now:

Also Serum found a company that sells a very small UBEC unit, I can now mount it under the diff cup next to the speedo out the way:

the new UBEC was from www.xushobby.com and only $15!

Finally no more cheap skid;)

Nice as usual. Isn't the speedo overheating tucked way down there?

Looks nicer than I remember! Have you been able to find out if the slipper clutch actually slips?

Yeh the center clutch is good, its strong, set to just slip a little enough to stop the front lifting.

What diff is that if you have a center slipper? I know the dominator had one, but I thought the nylon spurs weren't made in that size. Let me know, thanks

Yes its the ofna dominator center slipper. Your right the nylon spurs dont fit unless they spend half an hour with mr. dremel, I had to do some major work to it and mak up an adaptor ring to get it to fit.

in a word no. Im so familiar with nicads/nimh I dont think I will ever change, but then in future when the major manufacturers adopt this technology and develop a nice safe charger for the masses I may do, it seems peak and orion are looking at it now:

Don't mention lipo's to Ryan.. the guy is somehow a bit antipathical....

Ryan, that Ubec got more expensive didn't it? I thought we payed 12 dollars for that little thing.. Or am i going mental?

Those 4800 peak racing packs are 2P2S packs. Couldn't find anyting about discharge on them. The look nice.. But have they got balls... that is the big question.. it is a neat feature that they take plugs though.

Here is a website with the truck. It has some pics and all on it. It shows more and even talks more about it.

Peace!
