FLM Stampede - Turnbuckle/camber links measurements - 08.20.2008, 08:43 PM

I am building a full FLM pede with the "regular" sized a arms and need a touch of assistance. I have the truck almost all built up and I am working on getting the turnbuckle/camber links in and I can't seem to find anything that fits correctly. I'm having the same issue with the steering links as well.

I got the rear links on, but I don't know what the correct length of the link should be so I just stretched them out until they fit....

Sorry for the noob post, been working on this for a couple of days after work and it's starting to wear on my patience

Update:

I took all the front aluminum off and put on RPM arms/casters adn was able to get the jato toe links to fit. The steering is all kinds of uncorrect, but that is another issue to deal with once I get the camber figured out.

So now on the front and rear of the truck, I cannot seem to get the camber turnbuckles to be the right length. I even put on the stock plastic ones from the old pede and they seem too long. I'm currently working on the rear of the truck to keep things simple for the moment. Both rear tires (with the stock plastic links) site like this: \----/ I'm just trying to get the sit straight up like they did on the old pede: |---|

Since I have the "regular" arm kit and not the extended, are there any ideas why none of the links seem to fit? I'm halfway tempted to just sell all this FLM stuff and go back to a plastic pede :(

They show me that the tires should be straight up and down :)

One thing I am noticing is that I use the stock axles in the rear and not the CVDs. I'd imagine those should work since I don't have the extended arm kit....Maybe I'm wrong?

Interesting, I'm using aluminum traxxas links for camber (box said jato, stampede, rustler) and then old Jato toe links for steering...
