tips on building battery tray equilizer - 02.23.2005, 03:16 AM

Alright, me wants to build a battery tray equilizer to accomodate 8 cells. so here are my ideas so far, anyone feel free to add their input.
-it's contruction is gonna be made of lexan
-it's gonna use gmaxx battery pads as a cradle

thats all i really have right now.
I need some way to accurately monitor the cutoff voltage...maybe just 8 voltage meters, but that would cost alot (right?). I would need the voltage meter to read 0.00 or 0.000 volts. Or i could get a general silicon diode, but i don't know where to get them, and i don't know where to find a .9v diode.
Another dilema is i need to find a way to not draw to many amps at once from the batteries. In other words i don't want this to be a dead short tray.
Thats all i can think of for now, any input would be helpful.
