Western Robotics BEC - 05.01.2009, 06:55 PM

I just bought a BEC by Western Robotics today. I am waiting for it to be ship to my house. The specs are very good it has a 10 amp continous/ 14 amp max and it takes up to 6S. Anyone ran this combo before and if so is it a good one or not. I paid 65.00 shipped on Ebay as I offer 65.00 and they took it. It's usually 79.00 plus shipping.

I haven't that specific one, but I did run the HV version and it is quite nice. Here is my "review" of the HV version: http://rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11251

Thanks Brian for the review. I was looking for a BEC as one of my MMM V3 bite the dust and also I notice that the MMM can't seem to give the current my Ace 1015 needs as I can see the steering simply looses the power when running the truck. I was looking for a BEC and found a 79.00 or submit your B.O. at Ebay and I offered 65.00 shipped and they took my bid I know it's pricier than others but I'd like to try a good one as I had bad experience with M.A. BEC and C.C. BEC I always a bad glitch problem and the power seems to fade after a couple of minutes in use on my Lst2 dual servo for steering. I went overkill but it should run cool as I don't think I will use the rated 10 amps continous for this one.

Dimension Engineering also makes some good ones for reasonable prices. I have a couple different models of theirs and never a failure or problem whatsoever.
