Schumacher E-Manic, 1/8th brushless mt - 02.18.2009, 04:39 AM

Haven't seen this posted here yet. Pictures on 1st and 2nd page:

Looks a bit small for 1/8th scale. But a belt driven, mmm powered brushless mt seems interesting.

That thing really caught my eye a few days ago. Looks basically like a 4WD electric Havoc to me, with what appears to be another Havoc transmission on the front end. I'm not sure about having the front wheels belt-driven my self, and the motor's a bit high (unprotected in a roll?), but it's only a concept at the moment I guess.

I'm liking the effort though; looks good. They would have to announce it right when I'm about to complete my brushless Havoc though, wouldn't they...

I was just going to say that schumacher belt drive systems are amazing. I remember whn I converted my MI2EC toruing car into a 4wd buggy and it worked so well offroad. I had it for over 6 months and I ran in dirt constantly. Never broke a belt and the belts when I sold it still looked to be in great condition. They had some wear but it wasnt anything bad.

Here are a few pics of it before I replaced the wing.

Ive been wanting to get either a cat or a x11. Both buggies are absolutely sick. I think that when tekin starts distributing the x11 here in america for Thundr tech that if the price is cheap enough which is probably wont be then I would like to get one.

Yeah those preds are sick but they dont handle on the US tracks worth a poop really. With the big bores and all that there not bad, but there more a flat smooth astroturf/gym kind of track cars imo. But it is flat out SICK!!

Thats the only reason both these cars are so put out though. There 500 dollar kits, B44, the K car, D4 ETC are all 250-300 bucks. But IMO the innovation and build quality for the Cat, and pred are amazing. The fit and finish on the cat is amazing. Its just that Schumacher does make some junk, add a nice price tag and it gets left out

Belt drive is also super smooth and quite, I had one in a losi xxx-4 buggy and it was butter. I like it, I just wish it was more like a menace 21. If they lower the motor I'm on one.
