Tracks and Ski's on CRT.5 - 01.11.2009, 01:39 PM

Not sure why it has taken me so long to build this...

Just need to measure up the bones!

Thats awesome. I wish I had them a couple weeks ago on my snowboarding trip. I ran my truggy, and was thinking that the CRT.5 will get stuck everywhere. Where can I get a set?

Now that is pretty cool stuff. Have you driven it yet? How does it handle? Where did you come up with those tracks and skies? Nice winter alternative as long as you like playing in the cold weather. Nice work.

They are matracks on the rear from a radio shack toy and I believe stampede ski;s.

I need to order some dog bones, pinion and diff case to complete...

Sure Shaun rub it in to the rest of us. This week it is hitting a high of 26f and lows in the single digits at night here in Seoul, Korea. They keep telling us that it is going to snow, but nothing worth mentioning comes down. I hate cold weather, but the kids want to see some snow. His track car is pretty cool though. It almost looks like that track wheelchair in your thread. Have a wamr day As(*!($*....

Update! The cen lockers finally came - They were too big for the CRT .5 diff! :(

The rear diff looked a little messed up anyway so I ended up using epoxy instead. Whilst I was at it I replaced the tiny CRT.5 outdrives with 1/8th scale version from an X1X - This meant I now need 104mm ish dogbones.

I ordered a couple of these last night from a ebay chop shop - Hyper centre's are 106mm and should work...

On the centre diff I used the trusty dremmel to cut about 3mm off of length of the locker - It then slid perfectly into the centre diff.

So I'm all locked and loaded waiting impatiently for the bones as the snow melts :)
