cant decide, losi sc8ight yard basher on 5/6s mmm/2200? - 03.05.2009, 12:03 AM

Generally dislike the what should I buy threads, but I have spent too much time on this one. I just sold my e-revoslayer yesterday, and ordered all the stuff to turn the 8ight-t into a sc8 style truck. It will just be a yard basher, but I am kind of wanting it to haul some @@s. If i knew the ezrun 80a would be fine on 5s, it would be a done deal. I'd buy it run it on 5s and just have to pick the motor. But going up to the mmm/2200 or hw150a I can't decide. I hate to spend the money on the hw when for just a bit more I could buy the mmm. I don't play with them that frequently, I am just worried about the reliabiliy of the mmm. I would hate to have only ran it a few times, then something happen and it be out of warranty. Everyone seems to be happy with the hw, but there's just not that many people running them yet. If i went with the hw, I was thinking about the medusa 36/80/2200. I am wanting to order something tomarrow, help me make up my mind! Here is the truck I sold, don't make too much fun of the crappy electronics, I had the stuff laying aroudn, and hey they worked! I just could not get it to handle worth a crap. The e-revo is funner, so I kept it, bought the eight-t to try the corr thing again with.

MMM 2200 on 5s would be your best bet. FWIW neu is having a big sale on their packs, have a 5s 4300 25c going for $99.

Im loving 5s on my teckno Neu 1515/1y, which is essentially the same motor as the CC neu 2200 kv. 4s is fun and powerful, but 5s is crazy fun with more power than is really necessary!!!! I havent tried 6s yet...I would like to but would probly just end up getting another set of 5s batt so i dont have to change gearing switching from 4, 5, and 6s...

Toys:

Slash with VXL
E-revo with MMM/Teckno Nue 1515/1yf running 4s and 5s

No, that's a 3S 4300 for $99. It's a V5 version.
