Simulating braking bias without the extra servo - 04.28.2009, 03:45 PM

Not sure if you are looking into this already Monster Mike, but I was curious what your thoughts on simulating braking bias without using the mechanical braking common to nitros by using a oneway clicker setup similar to the losi XX4, just adapted appropriately in a 1/8 scale vehicle.

I am thinking, and please correct me if I am wrong, that this setup would allow the front to free-wheel depending on how much tension is put on the clicker springs. So upon braking action, the rear would lock up to the brake setting value that the ESC is programmed for, and the front would free wheel up to the amount of tension that the front clicker has been set for.

You could then bias your braking action between the two ends of the car. The mechanics on how to do this I leave up to the pro's, but it seems you could do some sort of a oneway diff cup with clicker assembly between the front and center diffs.

Thoughts?
