I took the plunge and have a brand new MMM 2200 kit sitting in front of me ready to drop into my 3905 maxx and would love to see how everyone mounted this beast securly in their rig.
Im a quadriplegic so I have to pay my LHS to solder my power plugs on my new lipos and controler so I have time to look around to see whats the best/cleanest way to mount this thing. I have 5.5mm gold plugs I can use or should I go with deans? zip ties or double sticky tape? any help would be great!
I dont race I just bash and raz the local nitro guys at the park but want my truck looking as good as it can while stomping the piss out of the local buzz box clan.
At the moment I have a wire mess due to my new steering servos have super long wires and I had to add a splitter for my reciever which adds even more to the noodlefest. Im not sure if its worth paying to have the wires shortened or not. Anyway Id love to see pics of any install thanks
Use Traxxas part# 5626 to hold it down. It's the MMM holddown used in the Brushless edition E-REVO and will also work on an E-MAXX or anything else that has mounting holes for a EVX or EVX2
I don't have an e maxx, I have the mount on my REVO but that looks the same as it does on the Traxxas website. I'm also not at my computer so I can't post up a pic at the moment
heres a 3905 with a novak setup. if you use the traxxas part above^^ you could mount your combo in the same way, motor where motor is and esc where esc is.

I am not sure about an emax but when i put some of my projects together i purchased some sets of male/female servo plugs so that i could shorten the servo wires. You could also use these to combine the two servos into the one plug and do away with the y harness. As far as ESC and motor wires it is never a good idea to shorten motor wires so you are stuck for length there. But if you could bring the truck into your LHS with the batteries already mounted they could measure and shorten the ESC power and battery wires to suit when they change plugs.
I ordered the new servo plugs to shorten the wires to my steering servos. Is there a special way to connect the wires to the new plugs? tool or solder that I need to be aware of? I also have the ESC mounting plate ordered
