Diff fluid for a Savage XL - 05.29.2009, 03:29 PM

I got both my diffs out doing the cen ring and pinion upgrade. There's no center diff so what fluid would you recommend for the front and rear? I have 1000, 5000, 7000, and 10000 available.

Thanks for the help.

What are you looking to do with it? Normal bashing, I would use 10K or 30K in front and rear, more traction, less unloading.

Thanks. Yeah, just bashing. So use the same in the front and rear. I have some 30K traxxas fluid use that front and rear?

Sounds good to me. I run 30K in my Revo front and rear diffs.

If your bashing, you could just pack them with a thick grease as well.

Thanks for the help. I used 30K front and back. Hopefully I will not be opening these diff up again for a long time.

I went pretty heavy for bashing w/ the oil (more locking better imo) I used 30-30 or 50-30. Works well.
