He must have hit the "new thread" limit...
Good one on the hand porn, I had to laugh when I read that.

It was the limit that did me in... Now? Getting a sub for my room, Xbox live, and putting the rest towards a new car.
R/C is a money pit... at least for me it is.

Just set up a rule for yourself, Only one RC car at a time.
Simple, but you gotta stick to it.

I have only had 2 at once at most. Any car I want at this point is $600+... More then I think I should spend on (excuse the term) "toy" car.

I guess it just comes down to what YOU determine as "Wasteful" or over "to expensive" for a particular hobby. I've spent thousands of dollars on a high end theatre and HDTV display for my gaming hobby as well as even more on my gaming PC, HTPC and misc related goodies. I don't mind, its what I love to do and spend my time with and thats money well worth spent in my book. R/C has always been my secondary hobby so I don't put as much money into it as others do, mostly cause its not my primary hobby, gaming and computers are, so only having one RC makes sense in my book
In the end, I'm only on this planet for a short period of time, and im gonna be slaving away most of it working for ass hat boss. That being the case, by God, im gonna take the money that I earn and freaking enjoy doing what I love to do and spend money on it till I croak and I get put in an urn.
I think its a bigger waste of money and time when people spend money on worthless and horrendously overprice brand name and designer clothes just impress others in their little "circle" of popularity and style. Fark that *censored*. I can buy two pairs of pants and 3 pairs of shirts at Wal-mart for $50 and if something happens to them, no big freaking woop. *censored*, i'd prefer our society be completely naked just so I wouldn't have to spend ANY money on clothes.

I agree... Hobbies are expensive. But when you're trying to save for a real car, and your spending $600+ on toy cars, leaving you with no money left over for other hobbies, with no job, yea, it gets to that point...
If I had all the money, I'd have a 5b. Because I don't, and I want to get into other things besides just large scale rc cars, R/C has to go... Been into it since I was 8, and am 14 now. Had a pretty good run.

Um, I'm gonna disagree there; some people should not only wear clothes, but not go into public...

You're only 14, that changes perspective.
I'm a 20yo student, and I've got a little money from working in the summers.
When I was 14 I bought a 50€ car (70$) and thought it was LOADS of money...
You'll come back when you've got more money... :p
