My e-maxx is too heavy... - 05.31.2009, 05:46 AM

hello I have an e-maxx that weight 13.2lbs rtr, with FLM chassis and Hybrid Bulks with 1/8diffs, and have 1/8CD, the e-maxx have all of rpm parts, and have 4 shocks of front buggyes, and 4 bigbore traxxas with big wheels.
The truck run with a neu 1515 2.5d on 5s 5000mha with ezrun 150A it is gear for 45mph. The motor is enough?? What can I do for reduce weight?

I can reduce weight using only 4 buggy front socks, but I don't know if it with hard spring are enought for an heavy truck because I want to jump high.

Either go up to 6s, gear down to around 38, or swap out motors for the 2200 1y.

The other factor more than just wait is your wheel/tire combo. Heavier tires and wheels create a lot of drag on the drivetrain and motor. This is much more a factor of performance than just static weight alone.

But really are you having problems with your setup like it is?

the truck have a lot of power, run well.... but how it is too heavy the truck break easier than a 11lbs truck, that is the weight that I want., and when it landing of a jump it touch the ground

mine is 12.5lbs and I have exact shock setup as you do. 4 1/8 buggy shocks and 4 traxxas big bores. try to put these springs on your 4 traxxas shocks, will help with car hitting the ground on big jumps.
