Those are brand new. No one has tried them yet. By the time someone has some running info they'll be out of stock....

If they're from hobbycity I'd expect zippy quality, which is great.

I would expect the same quality.

To me, they look like repackaged Flightmax Lipo's with 10awg leads. Should be some good packs. I was thinking about picking up 2 of those soon.

if you guys didn't notice, the burst rate is different on these packs. the burst is only 30c instead of 35c like the zippys. i have the zippy 5000mah 3s 25c batteries and the hottest i've gotten them is 102F. they are incredible packs for only $50.

Which zippys are you talking about. The Flightmax's? There are a couple different zippys from which the cells could come from.

So what kind of voltage drop are ppl getting then for the Zippy batteries? These Turnigy packs look the same to me too, GREAT deal, if they are good quality.

i have the flightmax packs. they are supposedly the best zippy batteries. people on other forums prefer them over the more expensive zippy-r korean-made packs.

Wouldn't it be REALLY nice to have a standardized testing procedure done so that we could compare apples to apples? A set of tests that would cover aircraft, car, and boat use. I know this has been discussed to death, but it sure would help us out while exposing those "too good to be true" deals...

I have one in order, should be shipped in few days, its for my drifter but i can compare it over zippy packs.
One thing im suspicious is dimensions, Turnigy pack says Pack Size: 146 x 34 x 25mm and Flightmax pack says Dimensions: 145x50x25mm. How there could be so much difference in width. I think its just typo.

Oooohh yes, I know! A sort of "EPA" rating type thing, like a driving cycle simulation for cars/trucks, with short high amp bursts, going up and down, like accelerate, cruise, brake, small current the turn around, repeat. Or just take cycle data from racing, and apply that to the testing procedure. Cuz we all know cars/trucks discharging is much different than planes/boats.

And I think who ever sells lipo packs should test them themselves, with some sort of standard discharging equipment, you know? So they can actually stand behind their products, and know first hand what they are capable of.

Hobbycity dimensions suck. Are you even looking at the same two packs? 34mm seems wayyyyyy too small. It should be at least 45 if it's a 5000mah pack.
