32p spur for slash? - 05.31.2009, 08:10 PM

will a e-maxx spur fit on there? want to run a L or XL on 4s for better than stock slash speed but nothin outrageous. pinions in 48p 5mm bore are elusive. any ideas anyone? first traxxas in almost twenty years.

Yes they will fit. The only thing is you won't be able to use your gear cover.

with 32p you wont need a gear cover. the 48p are more susceptible(sp?) to damage from sand and small rocks, where as the 32p just keeps asking for more. Nitro revo spurs are mod1 and also fit for the ultimate in drive gears

Revo spurs are not favorable, because they come up to 40t... still too small for gearing the truck properly, been there done that.

want to run "open" slash or "mod" whatever you want to call it. runnin 1/8 wheels and tires 4s. what kind of power/rpm are we lookin for here? what will the stock motor spin? im thinkin the bigger wheels will lend high speed stability but i dont want it to be rediculous out of control.

just a note as I have done this for my rustler, you'll need jato spurs as the emaxx spurs are too large diameter and will hit the axle outputs.

Largest possible is the 58 tooth jato spur and you need any 32p pinion. they make 54 56 and 58 jato spur...
