Got a chance to get back to my racing roots this week - 06.04.2009, 02:14 PM

I went to a slotcar track in my former home in Warner Robins GA, hadn't run mine in over 6 years. Got to play, have fun and catch up with old racers and friends, had a blast. It surprised me how fast i got back in the slot (so to speak) and run hard against the regulars, Nice to see my junk was still competitive. Post 12 in this link will show you the only pic of the track i got to run on, the blue one.

Anyone else come from slots?

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Yup I used to do slotcars a few years ago. Got me into RC. I eventually built a car that cost me $400 but was unbeatable

And paralyzed, I think you meant slit. Slots are less adjustable for delivery

Check it out. Only reason I'm good at it is because you don't have to steer.

Why is it you can't have a nice conversation without it going to a 14 year old level, or worse, straight into the gutter? I swear, the more i hang here, the more i consider staying away

I have to side with crazy, on this one fella's, it seems like the MODS, are non existant on here and really don't moderate much, from what i can see. Also the comments and innueando's were ok in the beginning, but are getting kinda old. I know you all complain about the traxxas forum, but in all honestly, RCM is turning into the same thing as well, but with a more mature audience> This forum used to be a great source for information, and you could get your questions answered in a fairly reasonable time and with out having to wade thru all the BS, which I have had to do before. This is just my .02 worth. I used to be on here daily, but not as much anymore...do to the BS

You worded that wrong, it's not the ''same''; according to your judgment, it's going the exact opposite.

The comment was more towards Linc, not you. I am sorry you took it that way, it wasn't meant the way you took it. You are usually one of the better posters, and i took the post as a normal post here lately, and as a warning that linc might and probably will chime in with a gutterball comment.

My apologies to you Mod, it wasn't directed at you.
