KB 45 Motor Mount/LST _ The Duder - 06.08.2009, 02:18 PM

Hello peeps...

I'm having "The Duder" of TD Racing making me a motor motor to fit the KB 45 series motor for my LST. He's already gave me a price quote...what I'm trying to see if there are anyone else interested in one of these puppies. This way, I and we can get these custom mounts...and help lessen the burden on "The Duder".

Any takers?

Sok

More than 70 bucks? All he has to do is make a center section with 30mm pattern. I would be interested in buying the center section, as I already have the mount. I can't imagine that part would be more than 20-30 bucks...

for $70, you may as well have bought a better motor...

I ordered a mount yesterday from the dude, for $20 or so I wouldn't mind having another center section that works with a 45. I wanted to get the single speed hub because it looks cool, and is much lighter than the jb weld filled method, but am going to have to wait until the other lst sells before I can get more goodies.

I dunno, the motor mount that is on it is just fine, and does allow for smaller pinions than the TDR mount does.

It is well worth the 70 bucks. Skip buying a neu, and pick up a castle/neu and you have the cost of the mount covered. We pay Mike close to that for motor mounts, and they are equally well worth that.

Wait, I'm confused now... who said $70? I don't even know what weren't talking about.

The tdr mount is 70 bucks. the motor is mounted via a removable eccentric cam. So if you just wanted to swap motors with different bolt patterns you do not need to change the entire mount, just the cam.

I cannot imagine this part costing more than 20-25 bucks... I was going to get one setup for m4 sized bolts as my other 1521 has that size as opposed to m3. But the guy I bought the 1521 from already had Mike make a custom front plate and it has the std m3 thread. So I guess that I do not need it.
