I have the Losi electric conversion kit for my 8ight-t, i also have the mamba monster 2200kv combo, with the losi electric conversion kit do i need to dremel out some areas on the chassis of my 8ight-t race roller? doesnt look like things are lining up correctly and the package it came in doesnt have anything but an exploded view on how to put together, not very helpful. HELP!
I am using my 8ight-t 1.0 stock race roller chassis, with the 48t metal spur gear and the losi electric conversion, here is what i have. Its like i need to cut a slot out for the Spur gear teeth to fit. Am i supposed to use the plastic SPUR gear that came with the conversion kit? I thought you could use any Spur gear.
@#$$%^$%^&*&^%$#....... man this hobby is costly, good thing i bought the tekno kit. my wife will shite when she see the credit card bill this month. im better off smoking crack! Why would u want to use a Plastic Spur Gear?
Plastic spurs are good for non-hardened pinions. But RC-M, Tekno, and RR pinions are all hardened so they are ok against either steel or plastic spurs. Your choice now.
Some people like the lighter rotating mass of the plastic. And less noise.
someone want to explain that to my wife... LOL.. yeah ok so it was the spur gear, I think i WILL be using the TEKNO kit and selling this one. its brand new, anyone want to buy a brand new losi electric conversion kit? I paid $81.06 to get it that includes the shipping, ill trade it for a nice servo or you can buy it out right for $70 that include shipping
