Slash Rules for RCM Bash 2009? - 07.05.2009, 09:58 PM

I am thinking about picking up a Slash (or converting my dusty rusty) for the bash, but I'm not sure of the rules.

I thought I read on the Barn's website that Slashes should be stock, minus a few "durability" upgrades. I may have read that any TRX hopups are also legal (may have been somewhere else tho)

So what are the rules?

Tires, voltage, motors, hopups?

How many are planning to bring? If it came down between a Crt.5 and Slash, which would be more likely to race (I'm guessing the Slashes)

Bueler?....Bueler?....

Anyway..are proline or 1/8 buggy tires going to be allowed, or is it going to be whatever goes? Curious as some race these as box stock racers for fun, or is it going to be more competitive w/ large mods allowed. Possibly somewhere in between? Obviously BL will be allowed, but the stock tires will always be a limiting factor.

Pretty sure the rules are
Stock tires- No exceptions
Brushless is allowed
Limited to 2s lipo
durability mods like a-arms are allowed.

At dirtrunners stock slash is just that - only upgrades are ali shock caps and some the RPM rear bumper support....

Only stock tires/springs/pinions etc only and 2s lipo...

Need mike to confirm otherwise - I have my FLM brushless Pede but looking expensive to convert... Chassis, Bellcrank, body, F&R/side bumpers etc etc - Motor wise it has a Medusa 50/3300 or a 7L

A BNIB stock slash would only be $165 which might be the easier way to go...

Hmm.. only bad thing for me is its still not BL. I was looking at a few used ones, but they tend to have a few more RPM parts like arms, skids and whatnot. These would be out then? One I found had a VXL setup and a 7cell nimh (are we limiting to 6 or 7 cells) in addition to the other parts for a very good price. I need another esc anyway as my SW is dead. I was hoping to snag that, run it as is, then sell the other crap after the bash and go HV w/ this nice Lehner I got for next to nothing.
hmm...

They would be out a Dirtrunners but no idea at the barn...

The problem with used is that it generally means ab-used...
