E-revo probs need help.(rear tire shake/shimmy)

Hey all looking for help with a problem I'm having.. I picked up a used E-revo the other day and took it out for a run.. As soon as I hit the gas I get bad tire shimmy/shaking from the start under hard acceleration.. it does have aftermarket hubs and tires. I have checked a few things but found no solution. I don't think it tire balance as it happens right from the start. the tires are on tight but still have some play. has new stock axles installed, one thing I noticed while tearing it down is it has the adjustable upper A-arms ,and stock lower. could this cause the issues? the carrier being non aligned? I have new arms coming and will prob replace the bulkhead also. lmk what you think..

Good chance that you need some new bearings in the axle carriers. Also it's a traxxas thing, right out of the box they have more slop than a 1/8 scale has after months of abuse.

You should still balance the wheels/tires, as not doing so would only accelerate the wear of the bearings etc.

Did you actually pull the tires off? That's first thing I'd check - they may not have gotten a hex on correctly or something easy like that. While its off, make sure they put the bearings in the hub. Those are about the only two reasons you'd get a wobble like that.

One thing you might wanna do is use teflon washers between the hub & axle carrier.It might not be the cause of the wheel wobble but it helps with suspension wobble

I know; My wheels aren't that stable either I need to shim them probably using teflon washers as mentioned by the guy above.
