What Motor - 09.13.2009, 06:01 AM

Hi, am having issues with my Tekin T8 motor and am thinking of maybe trying a Neu motor instead, what motor would you recommend for a Jammin (Hongnor) x2crt Truggy with a hyperion 5s/6500 lipo, need to be able to do 20min finals, top speed not to important, anywhere between 36-39mph perfect, but torque is important, short twisty track, any help will be appreciated.

Neu 1515 2.5D (1650kv) is a good motor for 5s racing.

I would also look into the 1515/1.5Y 1500kv motor. VERY strong and torquey. On 5s would still provide 36-39mph speeds while being strong and cool.

For 5s I would look at something between 1600 and 1800kv as a recomendation. I have run a Tekno Neu 1515 2.5D (1650kv) and a Medusa 36-70-1600kv both on 5s. I have also run both of them in an E-Revo and a RC8T. Both provide more than enough power and are still controllable. I have also run the 1515 2.5D on 6s in an E-Revo, it was INSANE!

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh
