My G4 Build - 10.11.2009, 02:22 PM

Hello all, I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself and share some pics of my current G4 build.

With the exception of the suspension, this build is complete. I have a set of flextek arms which I will be installing once I find the right length CVD's.

This is/was my quest to build the ultimate Gorillamaxx basher. I also own a Brushless edition Revo and a Savage Flux. Out of the three trucks in my fleet, this one, in my opinion; is the most fun to drive. Time will tell how durable it is compared to my savage.

Highlights of the build include:

Chasis

Gorillamaxx G4
GARC Bulks
RPM front and rear bumper
Integy (I know) titanium skids
RPM skid covers
Traxxas Wheelie bar
UE shock Towers

Suspension

Proline Powerstroke shocks
RPM suspension arms (Flextek to be installed)
RPM knuckles (I have some Tekno's on order)
Lunsford suspension pins
Proline Maxx Mashers on 1/2 offset Maximizer Beadlocks

Drive Train

UE 8 spyder diffs
UE center front titanium dogbone
Traxxas rear center cvd
Traxxas cvd's
Traxxas 17mm spline hex adapters
Robinson Racing spur and pinion

Power

Mamaba Monster combo
Thunder Power 2X 5000 mAh 2s 40C Lipo

Looks great. Very good selection of parts you have there. Only thing I would like to see added is some sort of plastic skid plate t fill the area between the rpm front and rear skids. Just some black plastic (abs, kydex, etc.) cut the same width would do. Otherwise that is a sharp truck you have!

Very nice. I too run the flextek arms, they really are unbreakable... CVDs , only ones Ive heard that work are the UE but that limits you to 14mm hubs which blows. Mike (owner of RCM) made a few custom thick cvd sets for people. You could throw him an email but I dunno if hes doing that anymore. I run the stock sliders. I run 8 Losi 8T shocks which are fatter than yours. I put tiny spacers I bought at a crusty old hardware store to extend the shocks out a bit, top (towers) and bottom (flextek). I had to buy longer screws for the towers to extend them out, no issues. One option .. My build

heres the link to the thread of screws I bought for the towers, not 1 has bent http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...0&highlight=AE

That looks like a great design. How did you find on ebay? Is there a name for that brace?

Strobe Braces- I have them on my Gmaxx too

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15552

This is the thread as such, I would contact him to see if he has any available or knows anyone with some for sale ( usually on the UE forum but its a bugger to get into that place if you arent already a member ).

Nice to see you on RCM along with BYT, you'll like it here alot

That is a savage Flux body with most of the stickers removed. I just happen to have an extra Flux body and it fit well so I used it. I like the HPI bodies because they hold up well.
