Velcro straps - 10.09.2009, 10:01 AM

Anyone know if you can get basic velcro straps at a place like: Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, or a Michaels (craft store)?

The reason I ask, is I just got a pair of the Hyperion G3 lipos and they are longer than my battery trays, so I am thinking about cutting the front off the tray (leave 3 sides) and rigging up a velcro strap system.

I know they are super cheap to order, but I would like to run them this weekend, and don't want to wait for shipping.

Thanks,
Ted

They also have a pack of longer ones for about the same price I have seen in the store.

Mc Master Carr has great ones, and tons of options. I think HD has some, but they are generally weak, but should be fine for the weekend.

I just picked some up at lowes, they are used to tidy up wires behind tvs and stereos. They were by the home organizing stuff. $7 for a pack of several, and plenty long. They are wider and slotted on the end to kind of form a buckle. Worked out great.
