What do you guys think the beat truggy tire is for speed? I hit 67mph today with my xxt tires on my 8ight and the tires balooned up sooooo bad it was impossible to get over 65% throttle. The tires where huge and made it veer everywhere. I understand I can tape the tires but would rather get foams or something. I'm happy with the speed and think I might be able to go faster on 5s so I can get to full throttle without flipping or swerving.
BTW: only reason in doing this is tohave a faster top speed than my boss (kHz owner) vxl rustler.. His has only been to 61 but complains about no room so hopefully I can hit 70 in the same space he has. I just like my truggy to be able to beat his in any. I beat him on the track, bashing (truggy won't break) and now hopefully top speed. All with just a pinion swap.
I am running a 8ight with a cc/neu MMM combo on 6s geared 25/48
Need custom foams made. look at rivermaxx's Emaxx for inspiration
I thought that at first but than I recalled another member here with a set of foams they found.. I will try to find the thread.
Edit: Found it.... It was PBO's and I don't know where he got the tires from http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...9&postcount=48
Here is a picture of PBO's truggy with the foams.

Kershaw Designs sell them, they are produced by ATS in Italy
FYI, I've had them up to 70 so far...they are still 100% glued & looking fine
they seem like they would be worth it if i was going to be going for a official run or a bunch of speed runs but.. 100 bucks for the tires is somewhat expensive just to prove a point... I think if I can get more downforce I should be good
