Wondering on how to run a single 2s pack on the old evx speed control. I have a truck with a pair of stock 27t brushed motors, and want to run them on 2s (LiFe). No lvc, but I have the esc and I want cheap.
I have read that you can just make a jumper plug for one of the battery inputs, and plug the pack into other. Not sure if that is true, cause I think the lvc runs off one pack.
i'm pretty sure you just wire the 2 sets of leads in parallel.
edit: i take that back. i was thinking of another speed control. try it if you want though.
They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

I know on the evx orange, and evx blue ones, you plug a jumper into the set of leads that doesn't run the bec. If you plug it in and it will turn on, put the jumper in the other set of leads. I know it works fine down to 3s, havn't tried 2s.
Thats it, had no idea that you had that on the speed calc site... I am guessing you have the ubec wiring in these cause you plan to run 4s? I guess I can leave the internal bec, as I will only run 2s.

:sigh: All that work, and no one uses it.
Yeah, it assumes that the person will run 3s or more, so a UBEC is needed. Just leave that part (and the LVC) out.
