Ofna lx1 conversions? - 11.20.2009, 10:17 PM

Are there any conversions for an Ofna lx1 buggy that are a bolt in fit. The car is my nephews and I will not be footing up the money nor the fabrication time for the conversion. He just wanted me to check into it.

To answer your question of there being a complete kit....no.

However, Mike sells the motor mount..not exactly sure which one... and battery try you would need.

Battery tray...http://www.rc-monster.com/rcm.php?pg=3

motor mount: e-mail Mike and ask which one or ask in the forums

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

The motor mount is the main concern here. Looking for something to go in place of the nitro engine. and use the existing spur gear and slipper clutch.

here's my ofna lx1

RC-Monster Mount
Novak battery tray

you confused me a little with the "something to go in place of the nitro engine" comment... i'm not sure if what you were referring to was the positioning of the motor? because as you can see mine is on the other side and DON'T buy the whole novak conversion kit... see if you can grab a tray off of ebay or something

That is pretty nice. Is that the mmm 2650 combo, and what Lipo configuration are you running?

You could run the 2200kv set up on 4s and it would fly

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S

yea i'm running a 2200kv system on 4s setup (2 x 2s packs in series) and it flies... i have it with too big a pinion so the motor heats up quickly so for the lx1 i suggest like a 14T or 13T pinion

the car is beefy and takes some abuse but is quick as anything if you have any questions or ur nephew has any please don't hesitate to ask
