3905 to 3906 hub swap?

3905 to 3906 hub swap? - 12.08.2009, 10:04 AM

hi all...has anyone tryed to fit 3905 hubs and drive shafts to a 3906 e maxx. i fancy trying the plastic shafts against my mm combo. i think i may need the turnbuckles as well,

Aside from the turnbuckles, you'll also need the steering knuckles.

hi all...yes i know about the bearings but i wondered if anyone has done this swap as i m not sure if it will work with 3906 steering gear etc..... thanks george...

Well the steering system is completely different. I would just swap everything if possible. It would be a better Maxx.

i'am using all 3905 stuff on my flm 3906 chassis,using 3906 steering no problems,also using mip cvds through out

This what I did.
Got arms, shafts, turnbuckles, and Knuckles.
Put them on my bulkheads and gmaxx chassis.
there is some pics of mine around here some where. :)

Ditto. When I built my truck, I just used the 3905 knuckles, turnbuckles and drive shafts- thats all you need to complete the swap, but you do need all of it to make it work; the 3906 bell crank is fine though
