different diff ratios? - 11.27.2009, 09:29 AM

Hi,

I have found this excell file and uploaded it to my webspace:
http://users.telenet.be/erikoo/Rustl...%20gearing.xls

It states for the RC8t that the "diffs" are 43/10
"Ring gear" being 43 and "pinion gear" being 10

I do not understand this gearing and the difference between this and the spur/pinion gear combination.

So there are 2 kinds of pinion gears it seems?

+ is the "43/10 diffs" correct for the RC8t? because I couldn't find this anywhere else.
And what is the correct tire diameter for this truggy?

Thx,
Riko

He's referring to the front and rear diffs, and yes I do believe they are 43/10.

Badlands on 3.2" rims are about 5.75" in diameter and my Calibers on Velocity 4" rims are about 5.5" in diameter (not exact as my caliper isn't big enough). According to tower, they are 5.84" and 5.61" respectively.
