Brushless conversion Kit for 1:5 - 11.27.2009, 02:33 PM

hey,

I've found this conversion kit for 1:5 cars:

http://www.riverhobby.com/1-5electric.asp

the motor is a feigao, the equivalent to the kb45 xl, but is supposed to be better quality then the kb. 6s (ezrun) seems small, but for 2wd it should be ok, I think.

they also have a conversion kit for the himoto truggy. looks good.

Old news Im affraid.

The feigao motor (580L I believe) is trash, burns up within a single run sometimes (as tested by other members), and the esc is nowhere near powerful enough, even in 2wd;- its still got to shift 20-30lbs of truck around. Thats why guys who do (proper) 1:5 scale conversions use the big lehners and neus, and seek HV escs capable of atleast 8s lipo, upto 12s or more...

I 've thought the feigao is better then the kb. the kb is at least a good radiator...
anyways, I like the idea of the ready-2-run hardware (not that much the electronics).
