Schweeet! New 5T for $950!

Woooo! Sometimes things just work out! Not only did I sell all my Savage Flux stuff quicker then I thought I would, but I didn't have to part it out either! After a crazy day at work, I stopped by the LHS to talk to the guy about my plans to once again purchase a Baja for real after 3 years of talking about doing it. He informed me that HPI is clearing out the "older" Baja models with the FM radio to make room for the new 2.4ghz equipped ones.

I was surprised to see over a $100 difference between the FM and 2.4ghz models. I was like "Well screw that, i'll come out ahead with the FM, have 3 channels and put my own spektrum system in later on" We both were more surprised we when discovered that HPI wanted another $100 premium for non painted baja! We both were like "WTF is up that?" with no real good answer.

Not only did I come out ahead with getting the Baja for less money and getting the radio with 3 channels so I can put in a full kill switch, but I also had $100 gift card from Christmas I was saving for the right moment, and this seemed just as good as any! He's gonna hopefully order a white one tomorroo and its gonna be here on Friday and he'll put it on hold for me while I make payments on it at the discounted price!

Yes!!!! I can't wait to get back from Vegas next month and start ordering stuff from DDM and paying off the Baja! I could be smelling 2 stroke in early spring if I play my cards right!

wow,nice deal,kinda figured you would've had instant plans to convert it,but i guess im glad there are more than a few who like the smell of 2-stroke and the ting of the DDM pipe on this board! good luck with your venture.--josh
