Ofna DM1 Spec Brushless Build -
01.17.2010, 09:48 PM
I bought dangerwr's DM1 on the 8th of this month. I am ready to get this build laid out on the table. I should receive it Tuesday. I am going with the MMM 2200kv and a Neu Electronics 5500ah 4s 35c lipo. It should do just fine for me. I will be in the smaller parking lots racing and drifting. I thought about trying the 2 speed for speed runs. Any input from you pros would be helpful.

Why not ditch the 2 speed and run a center diff all the time? In my mbx-5 on road conversion I am using the center diff w/the 2200 castle combo and can easily hit 50+ with tall gearing. IMO it is just simpler that's all.
Look forward to your pics!

Yup very strong...I run 3 in total w/no worries. If you haven't bought your esc yet, the mmpro may be another option especially if you want the sensored feature

tekin t8 would be a good choice. kv dependent on your voltage and desired speed

It will work for 1/8...you could still use the 2200ccneu or you could go for a Tekin 2200 buggy motor and run it in sensored mode. The Tekin motors can be run in either sensored or non sensored

I have a close friend who owns a hobby store and he's really giving me a killer deal on the castle combo. I appreciate all the help and I see now I am in the right direction. I will have pics of the build as soon as I start receiving parts. Mainly the car.
