It depends on what you want. What speed are you aiming at? Do you have any limitations in voltage for racing?

A 1518 1800kv from CC (which are currently on sale, so be fast) with a MMM and a 5S LiPo will give you plenty of power and speed, plus it will be efficient.

A 1520 with 6S lipo, geared for 39-40mph. Unbeatable efficiency (runtimes, temps...)

Brushless, what else ?

nuz69, I put my 1520 in my MBX6Te today and geared it for 41mph but it lacked a bit in responsiveness compared to my Neu 1515 1Y 2200kv. I was running on just 4S with a 20T. You run a 14T pinion on 6S ?

I would attribute that to the lack of RPMs. I would adjust your throttle curve to be a bit more aggressive and it should fix that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. When going about 30 mph it started to come alive. Seems like I will be ordering some more hv LiPo's soon :)

It's logical, low Kv, better controlability. Try to downgrade the pucnh control... I use my 1520/1Y in my MBX5Te on 6S and 13/46 ratio. No need more...
