1/8 scale MT2 brushless conversion - 05.14.2010, 11:54 AM

Hey guys, need some help in deciding what ESC/motor combo to use on my next project, an extended chassis HPI MT2 (1/8 scale). I would like to be able to run it with up to 4s but 2-3s primarily. I was thinking about the MMM 2650 combo but I don't know if that would be overkill. Any suggestions?

if your only going to run 3 or 4 cell then the 2650 would be perfect............also there is no such thing as over kill

I thought the MT2 was 1/10? Or is it like Traxxas 1/10 vehicles (Maxx and Revo) that are really closer to 1/8?

It is 1/10 but CKRCcrawlers.com sells a kit to convert it to 1/8 scale so now there's lots of room for electronics & batteries plus I can now use SC bodies. Here's the link:
