Update from Mike - 05.25.2010, 10:20 AM

RC Monster bash will happen this year - Mike is trying to lock down the venue (will be near Mike though) and a date. Expect more info in the next couple of weeks. The event will be in support of a kids Cystic Fibrosis charity.

SCRT chassis - Designed and ready for cutting - Mike has one being tested down in the Carolina's currently

Baja 5B mount - Sorry still a couple of bits left to tweak but I did kick his butt to get it done

FLM Savage 5B - Still in the works but a lot going on at the moment so I need to be patient

Cheers all

Good to hear that bash isn't dead. All the better that it's going to support a charity!

Whats the SCRT chassis he is designing? Is this to convert a CRT.5?

Do you know if Mike and Jaime are thinking about wider arms to go along with the Sav 5B kit? I know FLM has ext arms for the Sav, but they are only 0.5", and don't really improve much on the lower shock mount that I can see.

Some extra ext Savage arms with a robust mount for the LST shocks (to go w/ the FLM towers) or Baja shocks would be awesome.

Lastly, any ideas on the Universal Center Diff mount? Its been OOS for almost 3 mos. Perhaps a solution is being made to get the slipperential into the Sav 5b? Thanks for the updates Chris, sounds like Mike is overworked as usual.

Also, no bash at the Barn this yr? I wonder if they are even opening much, given things last yr. Great track, but the guys seemed to be losing interest in running it. Thought neighbors were giving trouble too.

We'll see what Mike comes up with.

In that case, my track in LA would gladly host the event!!

I don't know what he's doing but I can't see him making a chassis that's already available. If you want to convert your crt.5 to a 4x4 sc I'm pretty sure you just need to get the hyper/ofna chassis, bumpers, and front center shaft. The diffs should all be the same. I don't know about the arms but if they're different then you would need them with or without a custom chassis from Mike. I would guess it's a conversion for the ten-T. That has been asked for and would make sense, since Losi doesn't already have a 4x4 SC truck

If the neighbors are giving trouble they just need to make the track electric only!!! Im sure its just the nitro noise that is getting the complaints. One of the best upsides of brushless 1/8 is the low noise factor.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
