Inside pics of a Plettenberg Bigmaxximum - 05.03.2010, 10:44 AM

Hi RCM Members :)

I've got my Plettenberg Bigmaxximum now for about 1-2 years, but never opened it up. Today I decided to open it up, and take some pictures of it to put them on the web as there aren't any pictures of the inside of this motor. (Except the ones from Serum, but those aren't very high-quality)
The first thing I noticed after I opened it, was that the rotor wasn't so powerfull as I thought. (E.g. my Hacker C50-Maxx and Velineon rotor are WAY stronger than the one from the Bigmaxximum) If the rotor sits between the windings I can't turn it without using some pliers lol.
Anyway, I wanted to share these pics for you guys who are interested in it.

Hope I helped the guys who always wanted to see a Bigmaxx from the inside

Oh, and 1 question: Serum has got another rotor than me, they almost look the same, but the one from Serum has got a part of the rotor in black. (Pic: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_us-0LYnrz70/Rf...0/CIMG1538.JPG) Does someone know what this means? Is my rotor maybe a new version?

Hey! You're the guy with those beautiful E-Maxxes, one with double Schulze 19.87KW and double Plettenberg Bigmaxximum. (Yes, I still remembered that lol) They are so nice :)

You already got like.. 4 Bigmaxxes?

Did you ever open one of your Bigmaxxes, and do you know if you got a rotor with a black part or an aluminium part? Or do you know if my rotor is a newer version or older version?

Thanks,

Patrick

I think it looks the same as Serums pretty much:

Instead of showing us pictures of it, put that monster to work. It's been WAAAAY to long since I've seen that motor do some RPM's.

I guess yours is newer, but the part in my motor being black was most likely because they had them stocked in black when assembling the rotor. perhaps the even earlier editions had both ends black.

I wouldn't be surprised if they decided not to anodize the black parts on the end of the rotor anymore in order to get the costs down.

'serums pictures where not high quality'.. Crap, at least it didn't took me two years before ripping it apart.. (oo,)
