RC-Monster.com Presents: The RC-Monster Bash! - 03.13.2006, 08:47 PM

RC-Monster.com presents:

The RC-Monster Bash!

Get your plans made and your reservations confirmed for two exciting and fun-filled days of radio controlled action featuring custom vehicles and projects from some of the brightest minds in the radio control hobby - our forum members and their friends!

Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th at Barnstormers Off-Road R/C Raceways in Chester NY!

The Showcase Racing Class will be the "BRUSHLESS OPEN", which will contain only brushless electric powered vehicles so that we can display the technology that RC-Monster has become so famous for!

There will also be a local food vendor on both days of The Bash to make sure everyone stays well-fed.

The planned classes for racing are:

BRUSHLESS OPEN
Any off-road radio controlled vehicle as long as it's powered by a brushless electric motor!

Monster Truck Unlimited Electric/Nitro Challenge "The Challenge"
Ever wonder which is REALLY the dominant technology for radio controlled monster trucks? We aim to find out!

Monster Truck Unlimited - NITRO
Any monster truck / truggy, NITRO ONLY

Monster Truck Unlimited - ELECTRIC
Any monster truck / truggy, ELECTRIC ONLY

Monster Truck - NITRO/ELECTRIC
Any monster truck, nitro or electric (transmission-driven ONLY, NO center diffs)

1/10th Scale Stadium Truck Electric
Any 2wd 1/10th scale stadium truck - ELECTRIC ONLY

1/8th Scale Buggy - NITRO/ELECTRIC
Any 1/8th scale buggy, nitro or electric

Other Events:
These are sure to be crowd-pleasers and great fun for drivers!

Long Jump!
See how far you can launch that beast! You get two tries to land on your wheels at the furthest distance!

Concourse / Best of Show!
Shine it up before you arrive on Saturday! We'll be judging the best-looking vehicles before we all get them dirty!

We'll have raffles, awards, and enough fun to talk about for quite some time!

More information will be added to this thread in the coming days/weeks, so be sure to check back!
We'll continue to discuss The RC-Monster Bash in the other thread at:
http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2073

A flyer and sign-up sheet will be available by the end of the week (3/18/2006).

Update: 3-22-2006 - 03.22.2006, 08:28 AM

Both the flyer and sign-up form are in the final stages now. We are working with the track owner to confirm that we can do everything we want to do, and get his advice in regards to the event at his facility.

A couple questions have been brought up over the past week or so and I'd like to address them here in the official thread for The RC-Monster Bash.

Q: Will there be a class for 1/8th scale NITRO buggies?
A: Although there were no initial plans to run a 1/8th scale nitro buggy class, we have determined that including this class will widen the scope of racers at the event and help make sure everyone has a good time. We will have a class for ANY 1/8th buggy, nitro OR electric!

Q: Will there be a rain date or alternative plan in the case of rain?
A: We are still confirming the plans at this point. We can say that the current plan is to hold the event indoors at Barnstormers in the case of rain. Nitro vehicles would not be allowed to run indoors, but we feel that holding at least part of The Bash indoors is a more favorable option to those travelling than to cancel the event or re-schedule.

Hello Folks!

We're just 2 1/2 weeks away :003:

There have been a couple minor changes to The RC-Monster Bash, so re-download the flyer (from earlier in this thread) and read it over. Don't worry, nothing has changed for the worse!

See you in a couple weeks!

:003:
