Hi everyone... I am all for lightweight products etc...
But when jumping i found that i can not get enough air control due to the length of the truck...
I decided to op for some 40 Series Moabs (just for jumping) They are very heavy which will help but they are heavy enough and i dont want to add any more weight. So i need the lightest rim available which is most probably a dish rim.
So i need a
40 series dish rim
Black
17mm
1/2" offset of more
Has anyone seen something like this?
Please help!!!
The only other ones I know of in 17mm are XTM thorns or HPI Blasts...
The proline dish rims i thought were 14 or 23mm.
Compared to the weight of those tires the wheels won't make any difference. The mass of the wheel is close to the hex which means it has much less effect that the tire.
I had some Axial oversize rims (they are 40-series size) that had 17mm hex. They aren't dish, but probably just as light. And they were black. Look in the "Pay it forward" thread for pics, I sent them to Chadworkz but maybe if he hasn't used them yet he'll hook you up.
i was looking at the axial rims too as my second option, but i wasnt sure either if they had any offset. I really need at least 1/2" minimum for my wheels to clear my slash body.
someone told me today the xtm rims have a tendancy to crack on big jumps :{ so i think i will just go with the axials probably.... unless someone comes up with an alternative lightweight idea with some offset :}
