Lst diff in flm hybrid bulks+more - 01.04.2011, 10:19 AM

Like the title do the lst2 diff fit the flm hybrid buklheads?
I have a flm/rpm maxx that is ready but never run and thinking of changing the bulks from golden horizon to stronger if they fit
How are the golden horizon anyway?
Thanks a lot guys. Feffe

According to my sauces ( ketchup & salad cream ) the LST2 diff internals do indeed fit the FLM hybrid bulk heads- just add shims as required to get a perfect mesh ( 0.2 x 10 x 8mm I believe ).

GH stuff is said to be pretty good for the most part- cant really go wrong with something simple like ordinary bulkheads.

Thanks so much:)
Now I know they fit anyway:)
What do you think about alu skidplates from ebay?
I have those on now with golden horizon bulks, lst2diff, rpmarms and towers ofna shocks and flmchassi and 1518 and 5s lipo
What do you think about my setup?
Is plastic better then alu, know this been up before
Been trying to find titanium but out everywhere
What about running alu in the snow?
Thanks veeery muuuccch:):):):)

Cheap aluminium skids should work pefectly fine, but as soon as you start bumping into things they will bend a lot more easily than better quality ones, such as FLM for example. I use Titanium skids but those are hard to find these days- keep a watch on ebay really.

Your setup sounds perfectly fine- I wouldnt really bother with the FLM hybrid bulks unless you really wanted the slightly cleaner look to the frotn and rear ends.

The plastic RPM a-arms are probably a better idea than metal ones as they absorb impacts better- its all about choosing your weak points carefully so you dont spend a fortune replacing expensive broken parts, just cheap broken parts instead.

Snow wont hurt the aluminium, but the plastic parts can become more brittle sometimes, depends how long you are out in the snow for and just how cold it really is ( air temperature too ).

Great, thanks neil;)
Now Iīm a little more calm.
Iīm just waiting on some pinion gears and have to order a body and then I can drive the beauty
Im thinking to get some supershocks if I can order from unlimited engineering and flm towers somewhere in the near future.
Want some hcr skids to but havent found any on ebay and on one site i found i didnīt know ir they where from the old or new maxx, site didnīt look that updated. Thanks again feffe

It doesnt matter if the skids are from any maxx- they are all identical & interchangeable in that sense. UE dont sell outside of the USA though so you may have to watch ebay etc- regular ofna truggy shocks are almost identical but a little longer- with the FLM towers that would be a good combo ( super shocks are ofna buggy shocks with the truggy shafts ).
